The bitless bridle / cavesson Tess is a good alternative for you who for some reason want to avoid bits.

The headpiece is anatomically designed and has, like the noseband, soft padding. The throatlash is removable. Leather under the rings for better comfort. As the rings sit on the sides slightly closer to the bridge of the nose, than on a side pull, it also fits well when lunging.
